At a complete loss with Gomer. Weak spark from coil. Tried lots of stuff chatted with lots of people. Think it's time to bite the bullet and drop it at a shop. Koh is around the corner. Grrrr.
Florence I loss spark. Replaced cps. Fixed....
Decided time to upgrade a bit. Replaced cap. Rotor. Plug wires. Plugs. Ignition control module. Coil. And cps as a spare.
Charlotte gap run made it to kissing rock. Lost spark. Installed cps. No spark with sparkplug grounded check...
Come home. 12v to coil and icm. Getting signal through cps. Signal to icm and coil.
Barely any noticeable spark from coil. (Prior to cap rotor ans distributor.)
Cleaned all grounds. Added second ground to engine and have .7 ohms from coil mount to battery.

AND now at a point where I have 12v to coil and with a spark tester I have barely any spark. But I have spark.

Thoughts???

What type of combustion engine do you have? :flipoff:
Is it ODBII so you can look for engine codes?

Typically if you have a spark signal at all than your CPS is fine.

Have you tested all spark plugs are they all equally weak?

Have you tested the primary and secondary coil resistance, what is the recommended range what do you test?
Coil's fail when temperature cycled, so need to get it warm and cause the issue when you do your test.

Does the rotor show any signs of arcing?
On the coil what DC voltage and ground do you have on the low voltage side?

Have you tested your accessory power voltage? Are you using a key switch or just a toggle switch. In a buggy those contacts will corrode and give you a voltage drop and can cause a no start. Ive had to replace mine in the buggy afew times. Are you using relays for your accessory power or breakers. Check those for voltage drop, they also ware out. Follow your accessory power for any splices or butt connectors that may need to be replaced.

Visual inspection is a PITA but afew pinched or cut wires can cause a no-start. Un cut zip ties so you can really inspect your wires and butt connections. Keep trying to start to find a loose connection.

Got it to the point of 12v to coil. Still weak spark at coil.
Droped it off at Trailboss to let them work it. I can only
work a bit a day and trying to get lj ready for koh.

Thanks for the input.
Switch start through relays. Un did all wire looms. Verified
ground. No voltage drop notice through circuit.

Appears it's the spyder fuel system.
