Cheapest Place To Get Tires

Unread postby ScANdaLOuS » Wed Dec 10, 2003 1:43 pm

I'm looking at getting some 35" MTR's and was wondering if anybody here knows of a good place locally to get some for a good price. I tried the walmart on my side of town and they were complete dumbfawks about it. Said they had to special order them and would cost like 250 a tire

Go to a different walmart. Or find some used ones.

Discount Tire.

I paid right at $180.00 per for 35 x 12.50R15's.

Glad to see someone here looking for some good "rock tires" for a change instead of those silly boggers ;)

Those be fightin words now :D Take it from someone who went from BFG's to MT/R's to my SX's now, go Sx's and never worry about splittin a sidewall again :D
Don't get me wrong, MT/R's are great tires for just about any terrain but those sidewalls, even though they say or mean puncture resistant, aren't

Edit: You did say Boggers not Swampers (SX's) :flipoff: But my statement still stands.

Yeah, but SX's BLOW for a street truck like cameltoe's. If he actually put it offroad, that would be one thing, but since it doesn't even run, the MT/R's will be great.

:D
I'll just say that this is a damned funny line, and if anyone wants to put it in their sig, I'll allow it, because it really should be remembered and memorialized. -Pazuzu

You're right, MT/R's sure do look purdy in the driveway :D :D

Find Wild Country TXR's sister tire to the MT/R Goodyear but cheaper price, same carcas but different tread, I think they are even better tread than the GY. I have them on my CJ.

BTW, not sure if it's just the SEARS here but they told me a while back when i was running 35 MT/R's that they would meet or beat any price I found around town. And the last i checked with Jon at Toyota who is running 35 MT/R's, he said something around $155 a piece. Just my $.02

I bought a couple of MTR's not too long ago from Desert Rat for about $185 if I remember right. But I have seen all of the posts on pirate lately for Wal-mart being dirt cheap, don't give up on them...

UMMMM...... Whatever!!!!!! Have you ever used Boggers? Mine will wrinkle like there is no tommorow. 8 psi with no bead lacks and they still stay on. Boggers will run circle around MTR's any day. Just my opinion.

I was trying to get 37s since they were only 20bucks more a tire but those damn things are backordered forever!! they told me I would have to wait a couple months to get them. unforgetnly I needed tires right away

If someone buys me 3 35" bfg muds with certs I'll give them 6 "33 tires with certs ( they're transferable) 4 are bfg AT and the other two are Discount pathfinders.
Nobody's really ever COMPLETELY worthless, they can always serve as a bad example....
