I may go but probably more to run trails than to watch KOH some of each sounds good. Have been there a few times and love some of the trails. Different then here but can be very difficult.

The big downside to the lakebed is the dust. When there is a large group the dust cloud never ends, that crap will stay in the air for a long time.

I'll be out there with my cruiser to watch and/or help Mike out if he needs it.

Just got the KOH Second Crusade DVD for Christmas and am so pumped!!!

Oh and I'm driving out Tuesday night to catch the LCQ Wednesday and coming home Sunday. I'm thinking some wheeling Thursday is in order too for me :naughty:

It looks like we're gonna be going for the whole week. This will be our first time there. We will be dragging the hauler. Any suggestions from those who have been before are more than welcome. It looks pretty desolate. Should we haul our own wood? Is there good spots for spectating? I'm amped man, I can't wait.

Take everything you will want, there is no store near there. Bring clean firewood, there are a zillion nails on the ground from people burning pallets.

Turn north at Desert Center (Hwy 177 then west on 62 to Yucca Valley), if you take 62 north from Palm Springs the climb is very steep not a good idea if you are towing.

My plan right now is to leave Tucson Saturday 6th in the AM and come home Sunday 14th in the AM.

7 days should be long enough to get "some", but maybe not all of it.
Im also planning to bring my quad so I can drive that around for some of the spectating and other driving around the lakebed.

If you got your Crawl mag last month you should have seen the maps and link they provided for trail locations.

The weather yesterday was cold and windy, but no rain. Today it was nice little wind and sunny and warm, alot of the mud has dried up. It's still cold at night.
On the first trail I ran ( sledge hammer ) I broke a CTM U joint and it took out the Superior CrMo axle shaft and the stub shaft . I got it back together today using some stock spare shafts today. I'm told that CTM and Superior both are supposed to be out here but inj this zoo I haven't located them yet to see if either of them will warranty their stuff. If not I guess I'll have to buy some new ones.
We're having a great time despite the weather! :flipoff:

My hard drive died on me Tuesday, I think I lost all my KOH pics and video. Im still trying to recover it but Im running out of options when you start thinking of the Freezer Trick.

Everything else I have backed up, but the new stuff I think is gone.

I so wanted to make that look easy. 3 attempts, 4 smoking stickies, and a grenaded spicer later and I would have rather seen the look on your face then the video. :flipoff:

Its funny now but at the time I was kinda like FUCK!
