Chimney Rock Memorial Day 2011

Unread postby OnTheSpot » Mon May 30, 2011 6:48 pm

Marc, Toby Lori and myself decided at about midnight last that we should go wheel Chimney Rock today. We met up at 9am, fueled up and headed in. This was Lori and my first trip to Chimney.

We played around on this notch obstacle for a bit. Toby had a nice flop on the first try and made it on the second.

Then I broke my rear pinion trying to climb a nice little ledge Marc picked out. Gave it a handful of shots but in the end broke  We pulled the whole rear end apart to get the broken pinion out, ugg c-clip axles. The good news is I got to have some fun after pulling the broken parts doing some front digs around rocks.

Feel free to send some of that down this way! I'd be more than happy to have a day or two of snow right about now!

Looks fun. We headed out on Sat and I took this vid. Mainly 3 feathers but there's a couple shots of the crack at Chimney at the end. Glad you guys had fun.

That's some nice fab work, now on to the 14 bolt.

Sucks how the one ledge throws you left while the other throws you right. You were gettin it, nice break.
