Fear not, it will be DOM. No messing around with HREW. There were several things added to the list this time out... cage, brain bucket, and harnesses among others. Yeah, there's 14 different ways that could have gone way worse. I am VERY thankful to be alive. Thank you again to all that pitched in and got us rolling again! :thumb:

chuggins143 wrote:Yep, I had a pretty serious yard sale. On the Martinez canyon there's a section some other guys were calling the chute... basically, vertical dirt wall on both sides, pretty steep decline with a little step down over a rock in the middle and the whole thing is pitched to the left... I remember pulling down it and when I dropped off the little step my drivers side tire dug into the wall and I gassed it trying to push past to keep downward momentum, but with the nose so far down I guess I just dug in further and pivoted around and the rear end came around and then it was just the sound of sheet metal hitting dirt and the both of us trying to duck down into the middle of the cab while looking through the windshield we saw... dirt, sky, dirt, sky, dirt, sky. Fortunately, we landed back on our wheels with nothing more than some scrapes and bruises. One more roll and we'd have gone over the edge into a very deep ravine and probably wouldn't have been here to tell the story. So, a total of three rolls ending up back on our wheels. All of the guys jumped in collecting my junk and getting the rig drivable... Thank you all! I was obviously a little dazed and am a little sore today, but all in all very thankful to be here and in on piece!

Our group came in right after you had rolled and we had to come down the chute too. Seeing what had just happened realy got us thinking about how to get down. What we noticed was there where big rocks stacked at the bottom of the step. I think if you hit the rocks at the bottom while you was moving down the steep step that could be enough to stop your front end and cause your rear wheels to come off the ground pretty good. We took the rocks out before we came down. We was able to all make it down safe. I think that could have happened to any of us if we had not been carefull. Sorry to see you mess up your truck chuggins143.

We took a wrong turn and ended up on Jack Handle, would have been a fun trail to run but we stuck to our plan turned around and continued on to martinez.
At the top of the mountain was the first time Chad lost his cooler. Many were lost several were shot gunned.

Going into Martinez I stopped to talk to several other groups and many were not informed that the trail was going to be closed to Motorized use.

On past the Cabins we went into the Martinez canyon loop.

Too funny! I love that movie!

..as a side note, I went over an cleaned out my boxes and dumped a bunch of junk and about the only thing that I've noticed that was missing was my flashlight... it was in my pocket when we went over so it's probably in the rocks at the bottom of the hill, but just in case... it It's small black Surefire "Backup" with a clip. If anyone finds it, I'd kinda like to have it back. Surefire's ain't cheap.
Thanks!
