How about Some directions.

For those of us coming from the south we will be on Highway 79 heading north of Florence.
You will cross the train tracks at Price road and continue north for 7 miles. (Price road is the other entrance option straight into box canyon)
At 7 miles you will take a Right East on Cotton wood Rd. It is a dirt road but typically in really good condition.
Camp will be on the North side of the road afew miles down.
If you get to the cattle guard with a flag pole and information booth map youve gone too far, if you hit the ranch gate you've gone really to far.

Anything west of the information booth (where we camp) is State trust land so you should have a STL permit to camp there. Ive never been hassled.

I recommend the family permit $20

The Ranch has new owners that have not been giving us the right of way. Last I heard their fence has been bypassed but we can plan an alternate route if this is still an issue.

I would say show up at 8am and youll be good to go. I dont want to start too late Sunday or sunday. Id like to start wheeling no later than 9am both days

Ill be a trail leader but I need a second trail leader who knows the area so we can split up into two groups. Once we have the 2nd trail leader we can firm down a trail list for each day and get an idea of the size for each group. The larger the group the lower they move and the less trails you can accomplish.

Dave, I will be out there Saturday, I know the area well and will be running the difficult trails, if you need another leader for the runs.

Steve "Overseastoy" will be leading the harder trails on sat. Ill join the hard group Sunday.
Sat Ill lead the mild group. If we have a really large group we could also split the harder group into two.
Well have to play it by ear and see who shows up.

Gonna be fun. :flipoff:

I heard there is a drilling machine blocking the easiest entrance to camp. Im hoping to get there friday 4pm ish to scope it out. My RV can not get through much more than a mild ditch. Last weekend took me 1.5hrs to do a 3 point turn and ended up dragging the body alittle. If I can find a path anyone can make it to camp.
