Is there any kind of itinerary? I'm debating whether to drive up after work on Friday (5:30) and set up camp in the dark or just get up early Saturday run the trail and then set up camp for Saturday night. Do you have a specified time you want to be on the trail Saturday?

I doubt we will be up and wheeling earlier than 9:30 Sat.
We can plan for that no earlier than 9:30 would that work?

We see who shows up and decide on if we need to split the group and who will run what.

I was told there is a booth to fill out and pay for the state trust land permit in the area. Anyone know about this?

That's not true. There may be a sign in sheet to help track the number of users but the only way to get the State Trust Land permit is to mail your check and application to the State trust Land office in Phoenix. It took week to get mine. I just googled state trust land permits to find their website and print the application. There is no way to pay online you have to mail it in with a check.

If your in Phx and have the time you might be able to walk into their office and get one. Years ago when there was a Tucson office I was able to do that.

YEa all I found was the online PDF to print and mail out
http://www.azland.gov/programs/natural/ ... permit.htm

I have never been stopped for a State trust permit check. Its highly unlikely, and what Ive heard when they are inforcing it, they have you buy one from them on the spot... good service they come to you if you need it.. :D

I run a OHV sticker on the buggy they way it was registered so that is the state trust permit and BLM OHV use tag.

I fed-exed mine to them and called to make sure they get it sent back asap. the guy was really cool and said he would get it. I do not want to get a ticket, because that is my luck!
