The race is only on Saturday so I dont know why their flier says sunday?
Looks like they charge $10 a night for camping

We should have a designated pit area for the racers, but Im guessing you could park real close, last races it was very open for camping.

The race should be over at 5PM Im not sure if well drive home Sat night or Sunday.

I'll be there. Coming up with John probably. Don't forget the LOORRS Series is at Surprise this weekend too, might drop in to watch the races on Sunday on the way home...

10 Cars raced 4400.

The race course was 5.9 miles, times were about 15 min per lap, Half the course was slow winding desert with three rock sections, the last half of the course was high speed.

After two or three laps we overheated, had to pit to add water, then drove by temps the rest of the race with no other stops.

We used the high speed section carrying our speed through the turns and keeping it light on the throttle to recover temps to about 212 then we could hit it extra medium in the rock section up to 240 degrees.

My co-driver john (onthespot) had to check the temps every fiew min and it got him sick about halfway through and threw up in his full face helmet. He toughed it out and wanted to continue racing.

1st Levi S
2nd Brian S
3rd Ashman
4th Jack A
5th Mike K

With 10 drivers, they paid out for every 4 entries so they paid out to 3rd place. Kickass paid for our fuel to get to the race.

It was a really good course. If it had a really clean jump that could have iced the cake and the owners took our comments and want to help make it better for future events.

Rumor is the Cortez race might be our 3rd south west series race.
