I would pull the shifter out, and see if you can try to shift it with a screwdriver. Never had that happen, just the good old t-case stuck in neutral routine. Sammy trannies are prety easy to rebuild if thats the case.

So you have done it? I did pull the shifter out and found that the pin that holds the shifter from running wild has sheered off. So im thinking its loose in there somewhere. But i also think that i might have fried a syncronizer. I might pull it in the next few days and pull the whole thing apart. How hard is it to dissasymble

The transmission splits down the middle, instead of pulling parts out the front, it just splits in half.

Pretty much, I have one apart, and thats about it, the gears stay on the shafts unless you pull them out.

Ok. So i think i got it fixed and i think i know what happened.
When i shifted from second to first, the pin sheered and the shifter tried to push both first and third gear but only getting first gear fully ingauged. Then the balls that are on the shifter linkage stuck and wouldnt allow the tranny to shift. Got a new hardened pin for the shifter and now im just waiting on new motor mount and tranny mounts.
