I’ve had a No-Slip in my 8.25 for about 9 years now. I’ve had it out a couple times and changed the springs but other than that it has not given me any problems. I don’t know what washers you are talking about, mine has none. I don’t remember what the break point is (4.10 I think), but I have the carrier for 4.56 gears which could make a difference, though I’m not sure. (Disregard, I see you're running 4.56 too.)

Edit: Now you have me second guessing myself. I’m going to have to dig out the old No-Slip instructions and get back with you.

Edit #2: OK, according to my instructions you pull the thrust washer out with the side gears and they do not get reinstalled again. Part # on my No Slip is 92-0382-2905. HTH
