cherokee door problems

Ok...so before i just get out the welder and start screwin things up...im gona ask for someone to tell me the right way to do it...vehicle-88 cherokee 2 door. problem-the doors are jacked up right now...specifically the hinged are cracking away from the body and the doors dont wana close... and please dont tell me take the doors off and run that way...i hate open door. so whats the best fix for this??? thanks

On my 89 cherokee and 88 comanche pulled the pins, back ground the hinges and had to reweld. :thumb:

On My 88 I used a jack on the door and then welded them where it ripped. I also made mine removable.

so nothing too special really??? just yank the doors off and beat the hinges back where they belong and weld em up? and grind the bottom of the pins to make em removeable :naughty: i just hate playin in the mesquite with no doors...haha

The doors have two tabs an upper and lower, there is a single tab in the door jam. I used an air die grinder with a cutoff wheel to fit in the door jam to cut off the lower tab on the door. My factory pins were really stuck.

after you get the door out get a grade 8 bolt the diameter of the pin and weld it to the top tabs on the door. now they are quick release removable.
