I only knew him on the forum but he seemed like a good guy. Very sad. 100% preventable, too. I hope justice prevails. We'll miss you Roger.

Not sure but if you call, make sure you call the Cave Creek office. Maybe even talk with Mary below. I bet it's still closed but I have not checked since I posted that over a month ago.

Full Moon Run - Bulldog Canyon Sat 9/17

Posted run here: http://www.azvjc.org/OldSite/default.asp?A=1&ID=1880 I'm itching to do a full moon run. Meeting at 7:30 at the south entrance off of McDowell Road in Apache Junction. Full moon night run time! Come take a trip around Bulldog Canyon, a fun run that's challenging but not too hard....

FR-42 Update

There has been some confusion over the status of FR-42. Some Forest Service offices were reporting it was open again but Mary at the Cave Creek Ranger District office (480-595-3300) said FR-42 is definately NOT open and won't likely be open for months. I asked her to please call the other offices to...

Four 15x8 aluminum wheels, drilled for 2 bolt patterns

Four 15x8 aluminum wheels drilled for 5 on 4.5 AND 5 on 5.5 patterns (works on either). YJ's and TJ's are 5 on 4.5 stock, CJ's are 5 on 5.5. M416 and I believe M100 and M101 trailers are also 5 on 5.5. These wheels work on either. I have never seen wheels pre-drilled for both bolt patterns. These wo...

Mr. Ed Melendy Video

"Mr. Ed" Melendy died this past March (2005) and many people know him as an Arizona 4x4 legend. I never met the guy but found this video so him rolling his Jeep. Some people called him the "rollover king". The AZVJC and others did a memorial run in March of April of this year. http://members.cox.net...

You know, since that Peatsorb and the Pig Pads only come in giant quantities, I really wish some enterprising local 4x4 shop would buy in bulk and make smaller "cleanup kits" one could buy and keep in the back or under the seat. I've heard of a few oil spill recently where the spiller didn't know ho...

That was pretty funny but I feel sorry for the poor paralegal. I mean, come on, yes it was this persons mistake but wasn't everyone else going along with it? Can you say "scapegoat"?

Doh, just reminded myself that this isn't a Jeep specific website, sorry. Oh well, much of the info is the same on those writeups anyway.

That's a pretty nice writeup. I guess it's not much different with Jeeps, though there are some configuration differences (4.0 w/AC, 2.5 w/o AC, etc.). Here's a list of sites I've compiled that have OBA writeups relating specifically to Jeeps and most are for the York compressor: http://www.jeepsonl...

I went ahead and got a sweet deal on a rear bumper/tire carrier just like the Toys By Troy product. Got it for $200 brand spanking new and love it.

Thanks for the suggestions and notes, though. I did this in January I think and forgot to post an update.

Wanted: 1 - 33 BFG MT

I just put a new tire carrier on and now I can't use my spare cover. My old used All Terrain looks boring back there! I need 1 used BFG MT, 40% or more tread preferred. I'm in the Chandler area.

Okay, how much for the spare? Just the tire or a wheel and tire together?

Thanks,

Wow, I had no idea that was possible. Very interesting.

On another note, I never had cared much for music on websites. How many times have you had your speakers up too loud and were suddenly blown off your chair but some website MIDI music?

The funny thing is that some people are taking this seriously and seem genuinely upset. Check out the discussion board on that site.

I love the parody of it all :-)
